Joyce Jagger is The Embroidery Coach who simplifies the complex world of embroidery into easy to understand lessons. From learning how to hoop, to creating complex designs, to pricing your embroidery, to putting your business online, I can help you move forward in your business.
I have spent my entire life sewing and creating many one of a kind gift items, home decorating projects and clothing for myself and my children.
I started her embroidery business in 1978 after my youngest daughter went off to college. The small home based business grew into a medium sized successful multi-head embroidery business.
In 2002 I started Designer Marketing Inc., my own training and consulting business helping new embroiderers get started and helping existing embroiderers increase their bottom line.
In 2006 I opened up an on-line Embroidery Video Training site. This embroidery training site is a membership site that teaches all phases of embroidery basics. There are over 150 videos on-line ranging from machine basics to how to hoop and embroider many types of garments. She even shows how to repair mistakes!
Once a month I hold an embroidery training webinar teaching many techniques about design creation and editing. The techniques taught during these training sessions will work for any type of embroidery software and are available on DVD’s after each webinar.
I also teach the Tajima by Pulse DG/ML software and training is available on-site at your location, in my office or on-line. This software training is available for all levels of the Tajima by Pulse software and for all student skill levels.
I am currently on the Advisory Board of an embroidery trade magazine, “Stitches Magazine” and is a contributing expert to The Business Spotlight” in that magazine. I have also writen articles that are featured in Ezine Articles on the internet.
I have written a book about the business of embroidery, “The Truth About Embroidery Business Success”! My passion is to help get the new embroiderer off to a fast start! I also love to help the existing embroiderer improve their skills so that they can provide higher quality embroidery and increase their profitability!
Fondly,
Joyce Jagger

I would like to add embroidery to my current product line. I know next to nothing about embroidery (the mechanics of how to do it). I would be interested in your training – to learn how to embroider…
Please advise where you are located and what courses you offer and the cost.
Thank you,
Anna Nanavati
My personal profile settings indicate only my city will be shown but my city and state are show.???? I don’t see where I can change anything.

Hello Joyce,
I understand that you are on a cruise and hope that means you will not respond immediately.
Ken Chadwick from Hirsch recommended your services. We are a bedding company and we are considering offering our customers monogramming services. I understand you have worked with Matouk. They are lovely people with great products and are our neighbors at the NY Gift Show.
I am interested to know which of your services you recommend for a company at this stage of considering monogramming and what would your fees be?
Some of the questions we have:
Is it worth the effort and investment?
Is there enough add-on value for our existing products that there will be demand and willingness to pay for monogramming services?
We have plenty of space for a machine but would need to train (how many?) people to use it.
What is the best machine for our needs and the best supplier?
What’s the difference between a specialty font and digitized images for creating 12-16″ monograms?
Is there a “normal” rate of error we should build in to our costs?
I can be reached via the above email address and at 413-629-2385.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Kate
